HEELS
-
We feel that the mature nature of the essence of heels is more appropriate for dancers at least 18 years of age. If you are wanting to explore the feminine style of choreography often offered in a heels class, we encourage you to try our Femme Drop-In class.
-
In terms of heels, we recommend a stiletto that is no higher than 3 inches to start with good ankle support. These shoes typically look like ankle booties and are either open toed or pointed. These shoes help elongate and emphasize your lines in class! However, we welcome all types of of heels as long as you feel comfortable in them!
Wear something that makes you feel good! As students and dancers, we’re inspired by the saying “Look good, feel good!”. Typically students come in a t-shirt or tank top and either leggings or sweats on the bottom.
-
Our Heels Program offers a mix of choreography and technique and skill and is a progressive series of classes. A lot of our students experience visible growth from their first class tot heir last and feel very accomplished.
Our Drop-In classes is a choreography class.
ALUMNI
-
The Alumni Program is designed for dancers ages 18 and up to continue their dance journey’s past the typical grade 12 graduation. Most dancers thinking of joining should have had stage experience before and has likely competed for several years, really enjoy dancing and want to continue performing. Some dancers may also need several years before they move to bigger dance cities such as Vancouver, Toronto, New York and Los Angeles and this program would be excellent to continue your training before the big transition.
-
Yes, in fact there is a special VIP tier available to Alumni Program members where they can combine the Alumni Program offerings with other UV Programs such as the competitive or recreational or heels programming at a fixed price. Essentially an unbeatable opportunity!
